Spring Intern of social work Chelsea Henson has always been interested in non-profit work. She will graduate in May 2013 with an Undergraduate degree in Social Work from East Carolina University.
By chance, Henson met Restore One directors in an event hosted by the Social Work Student Association. The Lord had been prodding Henson to become active in the fight against trafficking– but this time she knew that coming alongside Restore One was where she needed to be. Henson is writing the curriculum for Project So Loved. She also does grant writing and shadows Executive Director Anna Smith, who has a degree in social work.
“Interning with Restore One has been an amazing experience so far! This opportunity has allowed me to integrate my faith and passion for others by challenging me to find scripture to support Restore One’s actions, values, and beliefs. I am stoked about everything that Restore One is doing and I am glad to be a part of this wonderful ministry that is bringing forth change,” said Henson.
